Directions, Transport and Travel To and From Birmingham University

If you are driving, the fastest route to the university is via the M6 motorway coming from Manchester in the northwest. Enter Junction 6 into the A38, keeping to the right. This will take you over a flyover and some underpasses, and into the A38 Bristol Road. The university is to the right, just before the city centre.

Car Parking
There are four parking zones in the streets of Birmingham, all operated on the 'Pay and Display' system. Once you arrive in the parking area, purchase your ticket any one of the machines and display it in the front windscreen of your car, at the side nearest the sidewalk.
Travel by Trains and Rail
Most trains will take drop you off at the New Street Station. From the cross-city line, board the train headed for Longbridge or Redditch station and get off at the University Station, a five-minute walk from the campus centre. About six of these trains leave for Birmingham every hour.
